Our history goes back to 1951 with the preparation and combing of textile fibres. In 1963, the EGARFIL group was born with the building of a spinning plant. Since then, we are dedicated to the production of worsted spun yarns in pure wool and wool blends.
We are made up by a group of family-based companies, who over almost 70 years of experience have been able to comply with new market requirements.
EGARFIL has a vast export experience. Nowadays, more than 60% of our production is aimed to the export markets and our yarns are present in almost all the European countries.
We are aware that our customers must distance themselves from their competitors and we know that the key to the success lies in the ability to adapt to the new challenges. At EGARFIL we have the means to accompany the customers in the different market changes, by producing bespoke yarns according to their needs. The great flexibility of our production unit and our close relationship with the customers makes EGARFIL a reliable partner.
Nowadays, the group is composed of a spinning plant (HILADOS EGARFIL), a dye plant (EMTEXSA) and a trading company for fibres and yarns (COFITEX)
